You can’t always get what you want

Day 56 / 366

I’m in a different city today, on a Sunday, attending a friends wedding. While I know that these things are important, it kinda sucks that it means I don’t get the time or space to write a regular blog post. But as I mentioned earlier, we don’t take any rest days, so here I am trying to still make a post in the best way that I can.

Life’s not fair. If you wait for the circumstances to be right before taking action, you would just keep waiting. If you want to do something, don’t wait, just do it. Even if you are not able to do it perfectly. That doesn’t matter. Yes this blog post might be the worst one yet, but it’s still plays it part, as one of 366 potential posts that help me achieve my goal of writing daily.

I remember back when I did this challenge in 2019, one day I got stuck after work in a team dinner. I kept waiting to get out of there so that I can open my laptop and write down my post in peace. But as the clock struck 11 PM, I knew that I might not make it. So I took my phone out, and sitting at that table, started writing a blog post. And fortunately, I was able to write a decent blog before the day ended.

It’s human tendency to overestimate the challenges and underestimate your own abilities. Things are not as tough as they seem, and you are way better than you think. And if that is not enough motivaiton for you, then remember that giving up may seem easy at present but will make you feel bad later. On the other hand, suceeding in your task will give you instant happiness.
