I am someone who is aware that I need to get serious about exercise, but still would never join a gym. I keep thinking of easier ways to stay fit. A few years ago that used to be running, but It's too tough to do daily. So I wanted to try something more manageable this year. And I decided to go for morning walks.

Starting your day with a walk can have a huge impact on your physical and mental health. It is an easy way to get some exercise and fresh air while calming your mind. Morning walks can help you improve your focus, reduce stress, and even boost your mood.

Just a few days in, I have seen some significant effects. I usually walk for an hour or so, and it's the most peaceful hour of my day. This is the time when I have been able to come up with the most creative ideas as well. Over the past few years, life has been really fast-paced and stressful. So I am really grateful for the little moment of zen I get, walking in the park surrounded by trees and listening to the sound of birds.

I have found in the past that why most exercise-related habits don't stick for me is that they would lead to me getting tired or experiencing some or the other pain. Running for instance used to be brutal to my knees. With walking, however, I am yet to experience any of that.

Taking a morning walk is an easy way to incorporate healthy habits into your daily routine.
