Day 41 / 365

As someone who has made a resolution to write a blog each day and read a book each week this year, I know the importance of both reading and writing in shaping who we are. In my experience, the two are closely intertwined, with one often leading to the other.

I have always been someone who enjoys making things, whether it’s a Hotwheels track out of boxes and batteries or building apps and websites for my friends and family. In the same vein, I find joy in both reading and writing. Through reading, I am exposed to new ideas and perspectives, which often inspire me to put my own thoughts and experiences into words.

In recent weeks, I have found myself struggling to stick to my reading and writing resolutions. I have noticed that my writing has suffered as a result of not reading as much as I usually do. This experience has reminded me of the importance of both reading and writing, and how they feed into each other.

When I read, I am able to escape into new worlds and immerse myself in new experiences. This, in turn, gives me a fresh perspective and new ideas to write about. Writing, on the other hand, allows me to process my thoughts and feelings, and to express myself in a way that is unique to me.

It’s easy to get sidetracked and lose motivation when it comes to reading and writing, especially when life gets busy. However, I am determined to stick to my resolutions and to continue to challenge myself in both areas. Whether it’s through reading a book a week or writing a daily blog, I know that these activities will continue to shape me and help me grow.

So, to all those who are struggling to stick to their reading and writing resolutions, my advice is to stick with it. The benefits are immeasurable, and the joy of discovering new ideas and expressing yourself is unmatched.
