Day 124 / 366

About half a decade ago, when my life was much less complicated, I used to have this theory. I felt that if I woke up early, and I meditated, the day will always go well. I had no proof to back this up, except for the fact that it always worked. It was so ridiculous that at times when I found myself in a rut, all I had to do was start waking up early and things started magically falling into place.

You would wonder that if I had a solution for all of my problems, why would I not just use it all the time? That’s the crazy thing about being depressed. Even if you know what will fix you, you just won't take any action.

This is why people get annoyed when others start giving them tips on how they can be happier. I already know what would make me happy. But knowing something and actually acting on it are two completely different things. Do you think an addict doesn't know that he should stop?

After a long time today, I woke up before 6 AM. I made my team, wrote some pages, and read a book. Then I planned my day ahead and got to my office. And to my surprise, things went well today. I was able to finish a lot of tasks I had pending for a while now. I did not waste time on YouTube, I ate well and I am here now writing this blog still feeling full of energy. And I really want to believe that all of this happened because I started my day well. God knows what would happen if I started meditating again.

By the way, if you are interested in waking up early as well, this is the video that 5 years ago got me from waking up at 10 AM each day to waking up at 4:30 AM instead -
