There’s always another way

Day 357 / 365

One thing I know for sure about the human brain, we always gravely overestimate our problems. To us, things always seem to be the worst they can ever be. Each and every straw is apparently breaking the camel’s back.

I have felt like this in 2019 more than any other year. I made a lot of drastic decisions and did some version of questioning or regretting them soon after. In most of the projects that I worked on, I genuinely considered quitting multiple times. Things just always seemed to be going out of my control.

But what I have also learned from this year is that, if you do persevere, you would find some way to make it all work out. If you just keep telling yourself that it’s not as bad you think, which is the truth by the way and keep doing whatever it is that you are capable of, you will get through it just fine.

You’ll be surprised how great you are of thinking under pressure. And I am saying real pressure. Most people are afraid of it, so they never let things get to that point. They give up at the first sign of things going wrong.

In my all-time favorite show “Pokemon”, some of the pokemon have a special ability called Blaze. In a battle, when this pokemon is on the verge of fainting, this ability gives him a sharp boost of power. I think each and everyone has this ability as well. So don’t let yours go to waste. Try and stick it till the end next time!
