The US election circus

Day 303 / 366

There is less than a week left for the 2024 US elections, and things are getting crazier than a reality show finale.

To bring you up to speed, here’s a quick recap. The US has a 2 party system, the Democratic party, and the Republican party. Although there can be other parties or even independent candidates, it’s virtually impossible for them to achieve anything. This is why even the presidential debates are always between just the candidates from these 2 parties.

At the beginning of the year, the candidate from the Democratic party was the current President Joe Biden. The Republican candidate was former president Donald Trump. Joe had previously defeated Trump in 2020, and at the beginning of the year, Trump was caught up in loads of lawsuits, so his chances did not look so good.

But everything changed after the first Presidential debate. Joe performed so badly, that many concluded that he was not mentally capable of running for president. Within a week the Democratic Party replaced him with Kamala Harris, his Vice President.

But Kamala was not a strong candidate. Neither was she chosen democratically. But for some reason, the powers that be at the Democratic party thought that she would be the best candidate.

Things kept getting better for Trump. In one of his rallies, he narrowly survived an assassination attempt. The bullet just grazed his right ear, and he got up with blood coming down his face and lifted his fist in the air shouting “Fight! Fight!”. I think we all knew at that point that there was no way he was losing the elections.

Kamala’s campaign has been a disaster. She seems to not be able to speak well without the aide of a tele prompter. But she is surviving because the main stream media and the woke Tech companies are all so Anti-Trump. In the second debate, she was fact-checked a lot less than Trump. And in the latest blatant example of this bias, Trump’s appearance on Joe Rogan is being shadow-banned by companies like Google and Facebook. A few days ago it was impossible for anyone to search and find that episode on Youtube.

Kamala on the other hand had an event where it was publicized that Beyonce would be one of the performers. People came in huge numbers to see her but were disappointed when she only spoke for 2–3 minutes and got off stage. Lots of people left, and the ones who remained booed Kamala.

I think the stage is set perfectly for November 5th, i.e. election day.
