Day 86 / 365

If you are looking for an example of extreme discipline, willpower, and perseverance, I will suggest you check out this YouTuber

And no this is not an Athlete like Virat Kohli or a freak like David Goggins. This is just a college student who decided that he needed to put in the extreme effort if he wanted to get somewhere in his life.

I found out about James Scholz when I saw one of his live streams recommended to me on Youtube. When I looked at his channel I found it filled with 100s of 12-hour live streams

Not only did James study 12 hours each day, but he also live-streamed himself studying as well. Each of his streams got 100s of thousands of views.

James motivated people to study as well. If you look at the comments on his videos, you will find people telling how they studied or worked alongside him and got so much work done.

In the video James made explaining why he took up this challenge, he talks about the growth mindset. With a fixed mindset, you think that there is a limit to what you can do, and you never try to attempt anything above that. The Growth mindset, on the other hand, means that you would keep pushing your boundaries, by challenging yourself with stuff just outside your comfort zone. And you will improve, in the process.

I really encourage you to watch the video I linked above in its entirety. Here’s an excerpt from the video that moved me

I did it for me. I wanted to become the best person that I could be. I got things I want in my life.

I want to buy my mom a big house. I want to be a great father. I want to help people.

And things like sitting on Instagram all day or watching pointless Youtube videos all day, running away, don’t get me there.

It took me 19 years to figure that out.
