Old habits die hard

We are always told that the first 20 years or so of our lives are so important. It’s in these 20 years that our minds are at their most impressionable. The habits you pick up will shape your personality. These are the years where most of us develop drinking, smoking habits or drug addictions. While some of us become athletic and some become lazy sloths.

Now the pessimistic way of looking at this would be that one you are 20, and you aren’t the most perfect person you wanted to become, well there’s not much chance for you. It all sounds pretty grim actually.

But believe it or not, I found a positive spin on this whole thing. If you can’t pick up good habits after you are 20, that must mean that you don’t pick up bad habits after 20 as well. Isn’t that a relief. It means you can try a lot of new things without fearing that you would become addicted to them!

Well, I guess this was not so big of a revelation to write a blog about. It sounded much better in my head, trust me. But I am still gonna commit to it.
