Day 118 / 365

Today, if a person makes a lucky guess or a prediction, he is joking called the modern Nostradamus. Michel de Nostredame, A french astrologer that lived more than 500 years ago, had made multiple correct predictions that keep coming true to this day.

Among some of his biggest predictions, was the Great London Fire. Here’s what Nostradamus had predicted -

The blood of the just will be demanded of London

Burnt by fire in the year '66

The ancient Lady will fall from her high place

And many of the same sect will be killed.

And sure enough, London was consumed by the great fire on 6th September 1666. This fire destroyed the homes of 70,000 out of the 80,000 people that lived in the city at that time.

The Great Fire of London

And his amazing predictions don’t end here. Here are some of the other world events that we have strong evidence that he predicted

  • The French Revolution
  • The rise of Napoleon
  • Both the world wars
  • The Attacks on 9/11

And fittingly enough, he predicted his own death as well. His lasts words were

Tomorrow, I shall no longer be here.

And sure enough, just like his other predictions, this one came true as well.
