Next Year

Today was the last race of this F1 season. It was a championship decider between Mclaren and Ferrari, and it ended with Lando winning the race and making Mclaren the champions for the first time since 1998. And as he crossed the finishing line, his words on the radio were

“Next year will be my year too..”

F1 has 2 Championship titles, the Driver’s Championship and the Constructors Championship. Each team has 2 cars, and even though Mclaren are the Constructors Champions, Lando was not able to win the Driver’s Championship. He could not catch up with Max Verstappen. But hearing that radio message, I could feel the excitement and optimism he had about going for it next year.

As this year comes to an end, I feel the same. This was a tough year, probably the toughest for me mentally. But I defeated a lot of demons this year. I am ending this year as a stronger person than I started it with. I had my lows, times when I thought it would be impossible to recover. But I did. Things just have a way of working out of their own, if you just give them enough time.

Next year is going to be epic.
