Mondays and Rains

Why can’t we cancel Mondays already? It is by far my least favorite day of the week by a mile. I have yet to have a good Monday this year, and this one was no exception.

As always, Mondays come with a lot of work. It's stuff that should have been done on the weekend, but let’s face it that never happens. So you are already on the backfoot before the day even starts. On top of that, there is more work waiting for you. Work that the client thought of during the weekend. Work that they think you are ready to do because you must be refreshed and recharged after a “relaxing” weekend.

And to top it all off, it rained like crazy today. I get extra lazy in weather like this and can’t get any work done.

The worst thing about being your own boss is that you have to be your own employee as well. If I was working a regular 9–5, I would have definitely called in a fake sick day today and spent the day watching a movie or reading a book.

And then come Tuesday, I would have been surely ready for work.
