Day 69 / 365

I wrote a post last Sunday about how most of the time I go into the weekend with high expectations, only to get disappointed when I fail to achieve anything. I want that to change this time around. It’s Friday night, the weekend starts in a few hours. I want to make it count.

So how do I make it happen? I need to use the one thing that I know always works for me — Planning.

I have this quote written on the wall above my table —

Decide what you want. Write it down. Make a plan. Work on it every damn day

So the first step is deciding what I want. I need goals that will make me feel the most accomplished.

  • Finish Reading a book
  • Ship one finished app based on ChatGPT
  • Make a youtube video

I think these should be doable goals. Now I know what I want and I have it written down. What's the plan then?

I think the first one is pretty straightforward. I have just started a book, that's about 200 pages. I need to finish maybe 40 today and 80 each on Saturday and Sunday. And to wrap it up, I need to write a blog with a review of the book as well.

For shipping the app. I need to finalize the idea today. I need to start work tomorrow and have something working locally by the end of the day. Then on Sunday, I need to figure out how to deploy it and get some people to use it.

The Youtube Video one is tough. I have wanted to do that for years, but I never do it. I think I will need to think about it a bit more.

I think that’s enough planning for now. I need to start working. See you guys tomorrow with an update.
