Impossible problems

I’m a pretty chilled out person most of the time. Issues and obstacles, whether big or small, don’t bother me most of the time. But every now and then something would come up that would simply stop me in my tracks. You know that feeling of impending doom, similar to how you feel when you are about to lose in a video game.

I think these are a special breed of problems. For the sake of simplicity let’s just call them impossible problems. Other problems you could solve either by putting in more time or money or by taking help from a friend. Sure it would be an inconvenience, but they never feel impossible.

I can describe the feeling of facing such an impossible problem in the following way — It’s a problem that seems so tough that I just don’t want to solve them at all, but I am still being forced to do so. Giving up is not an option, which just adds to the frustration. Your only hope is that somehow magically the problem disappears.

I had almost titled this blog — “How to solve impossible problems”, only to realize later that I don’t have any clue how to do it. The best I can do is to describe it in detail and hope that you can relate to it. See what I did there? I couldn’t solve a problem so I changed the problem and tried to do the next best thing. Maybe that’s how we could handle all our problems.
