Day 128 / 366

I have had this realization several times in my life, that sometimes I just tend to complain a lot. And not just to others, but to myself as well. More than half of all the thoughts I have are about something that's going on in my life or someone that’s doing something wrong to me.

It’s only when we hear someone else complain to us on and on that we realize how annoying it is. Once in a while, it's ok. It helps you blow off some steam, and free up your mind. But it should be a means to an end, it should not become a way of life. You do not want to be that guy who just keeps crying about how bad his life is.

Whenever I have this realization, It seems so obvious how bad this is for me. And it becomes easier to make a change in my thinking process. This is where I am mentally at right now, I try and think positively whenever I can. It sounds stupidly simple, but it is effective.

I try not to doubt myself. Everyone else might be doing it, but why do I have to do it myself as well? At the very least I can root for me. If a negative thought tries to creep in, I ask myself to ignore it. And I make an effort to think about the positive outcomes.

Is this all some philosophical bullshit? maybe. But I feel more energetic and happy this way, so as long as it works, I don't care.
