I made an Automated YouTube channel with AI

Day 15 / 366

ChatGPT recently added plugins to it. Plugins give ChatGPT access to external web-based services. I had never tried plugins before and was going through the plugin store to see which ones would be exciting to use, and I came across the CapCut plugin.

CapCut is a website for editing videos. What that meant is that with this plugin, ChatGPT can create videos for you.

I had always wanted to create an automated YouTube channel. It would be a channel that would host computer-generated video and voice, so you don’t have to shoot any videos or record voiceovers. These channels are also known as Faceless YouTube channels.

But ChatGPT makes it even easier. You don't have to do the research or create the script yourself. ChatGPT does that for you.

So first I came up with a name and concept for the channel. I chose a simple channel that will post YouTube shorts about science facts. I chose the name — Daily Dose of Science

I then described the channel to ChatGPT and asked for a couple of ideas for shorts. It came up with a few ideas, I chose the one I liked and then asked it to create a script for me. When I was happy with the script, I asked it to use CapCut to create the video for me, and within a few minutes it gave me a link to download the video!

Check out the video here —

I know the video is really basic, but at least it's something. I am sure that with time I can improve my prompting to get ChatGPT to do a better job.

The video has been up for less than a few minutes, so it doesn’t have any views that I can brag about. But I will check-in again in 24 hours and see if that changes.
