How Writing Acts as Therapy for Me
Day 55 / 365
Even though I am nowhere near good at it, writing has always been a passion of mine. From journaling to blogging, I’ve found that putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) is not only a creative outlet but also a powerful form of therapy. In this post, I’ll be sharing how writing has helped me to organize my thoughts and improve my mental health.
When we write about our thoughts and feelings, we are forced to reflect on them more deeply. Writing helps us to organize our thoughts, examine our emotions, and gain a better understanding of ourselves. By doing so, we can identify negative patterns of thinking, and work towards shifting our mindset towards a more positive one.
Writing can be a cathartic release of emotions that we may not feel comfortable expressing in other ways. By putting our emotions down on paper, we can get them out of our system and process them in a healthier way. Writing can also help us to distance ourselves from our emotions, allowing us to gain a more objective perspective on our feelings.
Writing can also help us to work through complex problems and find solutions
This is the reason I keep writing, even if no one reads this. By the time I hit the publish button, I have already gained a lot from this. Anything after that is just extra.
