Hope begins in the dark

Today someone clapped for a blog I wrote 4 years ago. I have written almost 1000 blogs and I don’t remember writing most of them. So while reading this old blog, I came across this quote

“Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work, you don’t give up”

And I really felt like I needed to read this today. Over the past few months, I have not come across many successes. Things have been going wrong, no matter how much effort I have been putting in. When you keep trying but you don’t see the results, you soon start to lose hope. And so did I.

Things are like that sometimes. You would do everything right, but you will still not get what you want. You feel stuck, and you feel like giving it up.

That is where you need to have faith in this one true law of the universe. If you keep showing up and do the right things, ultimately everything will fall into place.

Stubborn hope, that is what I have been missing lately. And I think I have found it again. I am not going to give up until I get what I need.
