Day 268 / 366

Tomorrow I get to go back to Jabalpur, my hometown. It would just be a day trip, but I am still super excited about it. It’s just something about that place that fills me with an intense feeling of nostalgia.

I left Jabalpur in 2010, when I moved to Kota to prepare for IIT-JEE. After that in 2012 I moved to Mumbai and I have been here ever since. I don’t get to visit home that often these days. It’s mostly because I have the office now and I can’t just take days off whenever I want.

Yet I am going there for just one day, that too in the middle of the week. And the reason is that it’s my little sister’s birthday, and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. Maybe one day when the company is stable and capable of functioning well without me, I will spend some more time in Jabalpur with my family.

Knowing that I have a place I can call home, where everyone genuinely loves me and care for me is a huge huge relief. Whenever I am faced with tough time, I just think of my home and I remind myself that even if nothing works out, I would always have somewhere to go. I would always have people that would make sure that I am OK.
