Friendship

We don’t get to choose our family, but we do get to choose our friends. This is what makes friends special. Finding good friends is tough. It’s not even something you can find, it’s something that you run into randomly as you go on with your life.

The best friends that I have had are ones that will stay no matter what happens. They are not fair-weather friends, ones that show up when things are good and disappear when I actually need them. These are the friends that I treasure. We could not speak for months or years at a stretch, but whenever one of us is in need, the other will be there. And these are the ones that I work hard to keep in my life.

The last few months have been tough. But if I have made it through it is because of the friends that refuse to leave. The ones that would put my interest ahead of theirs. I am not someone who asks people for help, I do not like to tell people that I am struggling. I am fortunate that the universe keep sending people that see that I am in trouble and help me out without asking.
