Everything Changes

Day 338 / 366

If this year has taught me anything, it’s that nothing in this world is permanent. That includes your own beliefs about yourself as well. You know all those rules, limitations, and all that you have in your head.

Stuff like, oh I am an extrovert. Or I am not a morning person. Or that I will never be able to say no to people. All of those things are just in your head. They are not permanent, they change as well.

There were problems I thought would never get solved, which did eventually get solved. There were things that I thought I would never get over, which I got over. There was negativity that I thought I would never be able to get rid of. But I did.

Just an hour ago, I drank a black coffee with no sugar because I had to stay up today to finish some pending work. I hate coffee, and I hate it even more when there is no sugar. But last month I decided to give up sugar, so this was the only option I had. And to be honest, it’s not that bad. I think I can get used to this.

Do not create these imaginary boxes for yourself. Do not impose limitations on yourself. Things will change, and so will you. More than anything else, do not resist change.

With enough time, everything will work out fine.
