Day 2 / 365

It gets easier.

Every day it gets a little easier. But you gotta do it every day — that’s the hard part.

But it does get easier

I was hesitant to watch BoJack Horseman for a long time, thinking it was just another overhyped adult animated comedy. However, I ended up binge-watching it last summer when I had some free time, and I was surprised to find that it resonated with me on a deep level. No other show has felt so relatable

.It’s a show about a used-to-be famous Horse, his struggles with mental health, and his failure to deal with them. I don’t think there has ever been a Show that captures what depression is better than this one.

There are no happy endings in real life.

Things don't always get better with time.

Good doesn’t always win over evil.

Friends don’t always stay by your side when things get tough.

Just when you think things can’t get any worse, life has a way of proving you wrong. There is no true rock bottom, as challenges and setbacks will always continue to arise. That’s simply the nature of life. And that’s what we see with Bojack as well.

But if there’s little inspiration you can take from the show, it's that no matter how tough things get, Bojack never stops trying. He shows up, broken as he may be, but he shows up every day and puts in whatever little effort that he can.

This is something that we can all learn from. No matter how many times we fall, no matter how many times we make mistakes, we have the power to pick ourselves up and try again. We are all capable of change, and it’s never too late to start working toward the person we want to be.

So if you’re feeling down and like you’ll never be able to turn your life around, just remember Bojack and his never-ending journey toward self-improvement. Keep pushing forward, even when it seems like the world is against you, and never give up on the belief that you can be the person you want to be. You got this!
