Drumroll, Please
Day 40 / 366
The title of this post is also the title of one of my favorite episodes from one of my favorite series — How I Met Your Mother. It’s the 13th episode of the first season. And if you watch this episode you will understand why I like Ted so much. The guy is the very definition of a Hopeful Romantic, And if he finds someone he loves, he will do anything he can to keep them around.
The episode starts with Ted sitting alone at a wedding, sad cause Robin couldn’t attend it with him. Then out of nowhere, he spots a pretty woman sitting across from him — Victoria, and it’s love at first sight. Their eyes meet and they start talking, there is definite chemistry between them. But Victoria makes a deal with Ted. They will not exchange names or even numbers so that all they have is this one amazing night, and they will never meet or find each other again. The memory of that night will never be spoilt.
Ted, being the romantic that he is, regrets this the next morning. He had a great night with a girl that felt perfect for him, but now he will never be able to see her again.
But Ted being Ted, spends the rest of the episode tracking the girl down. It was a nearly impossible task, but this is Ted. This guy tried to do a rain dance to make it rain, to stop Robin from going away with another guy. So of course he did whatever he could to find Victoria, and find her he did.
Which leads to one of the best musical moments of the series —
