This past week I have been playing around with something called ChatGPT. And I don't think I have been as excited about something new in Software for a long long time.

How I Discovered ChatGPT on Twitter

It all started when I was scrolling through my Twitter feed one day. I came across a tweet about something called “ChatGPT” and, being someone who’s always curious about new technologies, I decided to investigate further.

As it turns out, ChatGPT is a language model developed by OpenAI. It’s trained to generate human-like text and can be used to create all sorts of interesting applications, from chatbots to language translation tools.

What is ChatGPT and How it can be Useful?

ChatGPT stands for “Chat Generative Pre-training Transformer,” and it’s a type of artificial intelligence (AI) that’s able to understand and generate written language. Essentially, it’s a computer program that can “read” and “write” in a way that’s similar to how humans do.

Here’s me asking ChatGPT to write python code to fetch my Youtube watch history

You might be wondering, what’s the point of having a computer program that can “read” and “write” like a human? Well, there are all sorts of ways that ChatGPT could be useful. For example, it could be used to create chatbots that can have more natural conversations with people. It could also be used to help generate content like articles or social media posts.

Additionally, it can be used for a variety of NLP Tasks like summarization, question answering, language translation, etc. Allowing to automate certain tasks, providing efficient results.

Building Apps Using ChatGPT

Over the next week, I’ll be diving deeper into ChatGPT and experimenting with building some simple apps using it. I’m really excited to see what kind of possibilities this technology holds, and I can’t wait to share my findings with you.
