A review of January 2024
Day 32 / 366
For the past 5–6 years, the month of January has always been filled with ups and downs for me, and this time it was no different. It always starts on a high, every goal seems doable and I always feel full of energy. And then things would happen that are totally out of my control that would just derail the whole campaign. This year at least I managed to stick to most of my goals, and I think just to end January on a positive note I wanted to look back at all the things I managed to do.
I managed to get back at building apps and coding for fun. I built 10 AI-based apps using Streamlit. Not only was this fun, it helped me learn a lot about LLMs and how to build using them.
I still use the Youtube Summary app daily, whenever I want to decide whether a video is worth watching or not. I plan to soon turn it into a Chrome extension to make it easier to use.
My company Blaziken Technologies is doing good as well. The team has improved and I am looking to expand.
I am glad that I continued this blog. There were days when it was tough to write, and I was tempted to just use ChatGPT to generate something and post it. But fortunately, I made myself write it all myself every day.
Reading books is something I am a bit behind on. My goal was to read one book a week, and in January I just managed to finish two. But 2 is still better than none I guess.
Hopefully, February will be a bit kinder for me. And I will continue to push forward in the right direction.
